Welcome to Punkhouse Atlanta
Created and run by Ivette Spradlin, aka Evie, Punkhouse Atlanta is dedicated to documenting the vibrant punk/DIY community of the American South. Originally started as an Instagram page for members of Atlanta's DIY community to send in photos, videos, and memorabilia prior to 2010, quickly spurred into projects that include an oral history about the former tenants of The West End Warehouses* in Atlanta during the late 90's and early 2000's, as well as a recreation of an artist book created in 2000 about the tenants of these historic warehouses. Punkhouse Atlanta is passionate about capturing the spirit and creativity of this unique subculture and sharing it with the world through interviews, zines, audio recordings, photographs and videos.

*"The West End Warehouses" is what the punks called them, what was listed on flyers. Officially back then they were called the Candler-Smith Warehouses, they are currently called MET Atlanta.
